Music producer D'Silva is new choir patron

Reynold D'Silva, record producer and founder of Silva Screen Records, has become a patron of Crouch End Festival Chorus.

D’Silva said.

The choir has made more than 100 recordings with Silva Screen since D’Silva first asked music director David Temple’s singers to record with Lesley Garrett in 1995.

Working with Silva Screen for 27 years has allowed the choir to explore new genres and develop as a renowned recording artist of film and television soundtracks, as well as a classical repertoire. This experience has also led to collaborations with musicians such as Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and Noel Gallagher.

D'Silva began his music career at the age of 16 in Mumbai, India. He is the Founder of Silva Screen Music Group, an independent British music company that has released over 1,000 albums during its 35-year history.

A former Council member of the British Phonographic Industry, D’Silva has interests in music-related companies in the UK, USA, France and India, ranging from recorded music and music publishing, artist discovery, artist management, royalty software, live events and film production.

Reynold is the producer/executive producer of multi-award winning documentaries with Ren/oir Pictures, including It Was Fifty Years Ago Today – The Beatles: Sgt Pepper & Beyond, General Magic, The Beatles and India, and Audrey, an intimate look at the life of actress Audrey Hepburn.

Crouch End Festival Chorus’ most recent release with Silva Screen was a third Christmas Choral Classics album in November 2021, which featured heavily on the Christmas playlists of Scala Radio and Classic FM.
